At first glance, Lee Buchanan & Blue Combs do not seem to be a very good fit for each other. Lee is stoic, a stickler for rules, and has resting grumpy face. Blue is carefree, artistic, and can laugh at herself at times. Neither are looking for any kind of relationship, not even a one-night stand, but fate has a way of stepping in and taking control.This is one of my favorite books in the Asheville Brewing series so far. I love how Blue & Lee push back against the pull that they feel for each other. It isn't a quick-to-love story, and the characters feel as though they have depth. The story feels more realistic with the betrayals as if they can happen to anyone.If you haven't read this series yet, you do not have to read them in order. However, the small things mentioned will make much more sense should you read them in the listed order. I highly recommend picking up the first book and getting started on this journey with these flawed yet loveable characters.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Bad Luck Club is book 4 of Denise Grover Swank and A.R. Casella's delightful Asheville Brewery. As the main character in this seriously "whackadoodle" rom-com, is the last Buchanon sibling, to find his place in Asheville, I have to believe,I am saying goodbye to the Asheville Brewery scene. Oh how I hate to see this series end! But what a 4th of July fireworks display of an ending for this wonderful series!Once again, the authors have made the Asheville Brewery scene come alive, placing Asheville on my bucket travel list for whenever this pandemic finally ends! The characters are so real you feel you would know them anywhere! This novel is chock full of yummy romance, laugh out loud antics and enough feel good moments to make your heart soar! Really! It's a Hallmark movie in words instead of moving pictures! Which is how this little bookworm prefers to get her dose of happily ever after anyway.The introduction of the Bad Luck Club and it's founding members, adds to both the comedy and subtle life lessons, we have come to expect from Denise Grover Swank and A. R. Casella in this series. The loveable eccentric Dottie and goat lady Stella are joined in this novel by some delightfully weird characters that add even more depth to the Asheville Brewery scene!I love this series so much! I can't wait to see what spin-off novels the authors come up with! Denise and A. R. , you rock! Please never stop writing and I promise to never stop reading your books!
